The Lampron guarantee: your project, our expertise
At Excavations Lampron, we start every project with a complete site diagnosis. We anticipate challenges related to soil, slopes, drainage and access constraints, so that your project moves ahead without delays or rework.
Accuracy
With the support of our technologists, we validate the soil tests and adjust the plans to reflect the reality on the ground. This ensures that your system is as efficient and cost-effective as possible.
Sustainability
Thanks to GPS and laser guidance, every slope and setback margin is exact. Gravity drainage prevents backflow, extending the life of your leaching bed for many years to come.
Versatility
Whether your plan calls for a standard, Bionest, Ecoflo or Enviro-Septic system, we master all the installation steps. Each component is meticulously fastened, guaranteeing a successful municipal inspection the first time.
We're digging into
your questions
How much does a septic system cost in the Laurentians?
The price of a septic system depends on the nature of your land. For a standard system, expect to pay between $10,000 and $15,000. If your soil is rock or clay, an advanced treatment system, such as Ecoflo or Bionest, can cost between $20,000 and $30,000.
How long does it take to excavate a septic tank?
Excavation of a septic tank and residential drain field generally takes between 2 and 4 days. The most important aspect for you: the interruption of sanitary services during the final connection lasts only 2 to 3h. So you won't be without water for long.
Is a soil test mandatory for a leaching bed?
Yes. According to Quebec standards, a characterization study must be carried out before proceeding with the septic installation. This test determines the absorption capacity of the soil and the depth of the water table, which in turn determines the type of system to be installed. We can recommend trustworthy technologists in the Laurentians, Lanaudière, Laval, Montreal or Montréal on the South Shore to speed up this step.
Is it possible to install a septic tank in winter?
This is technically feasible, but we advise against it. Frost makes it more difficult to compact the filter sand, which can compromise drainage and system compliance. Instead, we recommend planning excavation between May and November.
How long does a leaching bed last in Quebec?
A properly installed system can operate for 20 or 30 years. This longevity is based on 2 key elements: the use of BNQ-certified sand and precise laser levelling. A poorly leveled septic tank creates areas where water stagnates, reducing its lifespan.
